OBITUARY, The Ida County Pioneer Record, 20 October 1983, page 6: Funeral services for Lester Allen Aduddell, 78, of Ida Grove were at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Christensen Funeral Home in Ida Grove. He died Saturday, October 15, at Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove. The Rev. Paul Walters officiated at the services, with burial in the Ida Grove Cemetery. Mr. Aduddell was born May 27, 1905, in Battle Creek. He was a lifelong area resident. He married Esther Ferguson on January 2, 1926, at Battle Creek. Mr. Aduddell worked as a sexton at the Ida Grove Cemetery for many years. He also worked for a short time as a carpenter. He also sold cemetery monuments. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Richard of Meriden and Duane of Cherokee, two daughters, Delores Wood of Ida Grove and Mrs. William (Phyllis) Eickholt of Cherokee; 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Clifford (Florence) Lewis of Battle Creek.
