From her obit: Esther Ruby Aduddell, 87, of Ida Grove died Saturday, February 1, 1997, in Ida Grove. Services were held at the Winebrenner Church of God in Ida Grove, with Dr. Herbert Johnson officiating. Burial followed in the Ida Grove Cemetery under direction of the Christensen-Ciha Funeral Home of Ida Grove. Mrs. Aduddell was born March 9, 1909, in Ida Grove, the daughter of Samuel Milton and Bessie Elizabeth (Nack) Ferguson. She attended Ida Grove High School and graduated from Aurora, South Dakota. High School. She married Lester Allen Aduddell January 2, 1926, in Battle Creek, Iowa. He died October 15, 1983. She was employed at Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove for several years. She was a member of the Winebrenner Church of God, where she belonged to the Ladies Aid. She volunteered at Horn Memorial Hospital for many years, and was a member of the Ida County Historical Society. Survivors include two sons and their wives, Richard and Alberta of Cherokee, Iowa and Duane and Shirley of Bull Shoals, Arkansas; two daughters, Dolores Wood of Ida Grove and Mr. William (Phyllis)Eickholt of Cherokee; a daughter-in-law, Esther Aduddell of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Lester Eugene; three brothers; and a sister.
