James Enos Battershell
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the chapel of the Buchanan Funeral Home in Robinson; Carl Hall officiated. Burial was in the New Robinson Cemetery.
James was 71 years of age and died Tuesday night of last week at Danville Veterans Hospital (Dec 2, 1958). Three sons survive: John H, Robert O of Robinson and James W, in the Air Force. Three daughters: Mrs Alva (Doris) Lackey and Mrs Harold (Barbara) Barrett of Robinson and Mrs Jack (Betty Lou) Baker of Moses Lake, Washington. Four brothers: Ransom and Cecil of Robinson, and Chester of Gary, IN, & Bernus of Shelbyville. Three sisters: Mrs Josephine Benner, Mrs Gertie Bond and Mrs Gladys Dart of Oblong and nine grandchildren.
