Mr. Johnson was born October 31, 1916, in Saline County. He was an engineer for the Union Pacific Railroad for more than 35 years.
He was a member of V.F.W. Post 1432, American Legion Post 62, Elks Lodge #718, The Scottish Rite and The ISIS Shrine.
He was an Army Veteran of World War II and was honorably discharged as First Sergeant after four years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine F., in 1997.
Survivors include a brother, Carl D. of Wichita; and a sister, Angeline McKee of Wichita.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
