Julia Alice Jackson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Whisler, was born April 21, 1864, near Buffalo, Iowa and passed away July 14, 1947, at Hebron, Nebraska, at the age of 83 years, two months and 23 days. She spent the most of her girlhood near Donahue, Iowa where he was baptized into the Church of God.
She was united in marriage to Joseph Jackson on March 24, 1888 at Davenport, Iowa. To this union were born four children, three daughters and one son. Anna Zella, the eldest, preceded her in death on August 3, 1890, at the age of 14 months. Most of her married life was spent near Bruning, Nebraska. Her husband preceded her in death on June 14, 1926.
She leaves to mourn her departure, two daughters, Gertrude Heinrichs of Bruning and Myrtle Jackson of Kennewick, Wash.; one son, Royal of Bruning; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Maria Madden of Long Grove, Ia., and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the John Heinrichs home and at the Methodist Church. Interment was in Bruning Public Cemetery.
