George E. Janson, 88, of Waynesburg, died last Thursday after an extended illness. Born in Carroll County, he was a son of the late Charles and Cora (Finefrock) Janson and a life resident of the Canton-Waynesburg area. A retired farmer and coal miner, Mr. Janson was a well-known baseball player and skilled trap shooter. Survivors include a brother, Attorney Price Janson of Canton, and a sister, Mrs. Verda J. Roudebush of North Canton. Services were Sunday at the McCreery-Finefrock Funeral Home in Magnolia with burial in Sandy Valley Cemetery, Waynesburg.
