Born August 3, 1933, in Halifax County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Ewell and the late Amanda Edmonds Ewell.
Her survivors include one daughter: Joyce Ewell of Halifax; two brothers: Johnnie Ewell of Halifax and George Ewell of South Boston; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one daughter: Brenda Clark; two sons: William Ewell and Calvin Ewell; six sisters: Cora Brown, Mary Davis, Catherine Ewell, Hallie Dixon, Naomi Goodloe and Elizabeth Ewell; and seven brothers: Henry Ewell, James Ewell, Albert Ewell, Willie Ewell, Joel Ewell, Phillip Ewell and Samuel Ewell.
A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, July 3, at 2:00 p.m., at New Vernon Baptist Church with Rev. William Howerton officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
