Her gravestone was found by a pedestrian who was walking along the path at Chickasaw Gardens on the west side of the lake and turned over to Elmwood Cemetery, where it remains. It now seems probable that the persons who destroyed Brooks Cemetery took all the stones, fences, etc to the lake at Chickasaw Gardens and dumped them and perhaps other places unknown, leaving the bodies in place on land formerly owned by the Brooks family.
