Francis "Cop" Charles Adams, the son of Henry (Harry) and Georgia (Martin) Adams. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in May of 1899. The son of a "Railroadman, the family moved around a lot. His parents, both born and raised in Portage and Summit Co. Ohio, finally settled in the area about 1912-1915 where he met and eventually married Sara Kaster. He and Sara had four children between 1924 and 1932. Hard times for most families. Cop was born with a heart condition, it made hard times even harder for a young family. He died at the age of 41, a heart attack, leaving his wife and four children far to soon.

A quote from his oldest daughter "we were very poor, but we had everything we needed. A roof over our head, food in our bellies, and a whole lot of love".
