CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - William Burdine Jackson, 74, of 814 Lincoln Way West, died Monday, July 1, 2002, at his home. Born Aug. 26, 1927, in Crystal Spring, Pa., he was the son of the late Earl Amos and Vernona Mellot Jackson. He was the owner and president of Bill's Kwik Chek Market in Chambersburg, and Beverage City Inc. in Chambersburg. Earlier, he owned and operated Wheel City, J Homes Inc. and Fancy Farms, all in Chambersburg. He served as a private in the U.S. Army. He attended Sideling Hill Christian Church in Needmore, Pa.He was a member of Everett Masonic Lodge of Everett, Pa. He also was a Shriner. He is survived by one daughter, two sisters, and one brother. He was preceded in death by one sister, Althea J. Thomas; and one brother, Lawrence Jackson.
