Dar R. Claussen of Fort Lupton, a pilot and captain, died Oct. 11 at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs. He was 60.

A service was Oct. 14 at Longs Peak United Methodist Church. Interment was in Olinger Highland Cemetery.

Claussen was a pilot and captain at United Airlines.

He is survived by his wife, Connie; a son, Doug, Brighton; three daughters, Jeannine Sutton, Thornton, Julie Claussen, Deer Trail, and Elizabeth Pyle, Fort Lupton; two sisters, Georgia Nunez, San Diego, and Roberta Scheicelbauer, Vienna; and two granddaughters.

He worked for United Airlines as a pilot.

Survivors include his wife, Connie; a son, Doug of Brighton; three daughters, Jeannine Sutton of Thornton, Julie Claussen of Deer Trail and Elizabeth Pyle of Fort Lupton; two sisters, Georgia Nunez of San Diego and Robeta Scheicelbauer of Austria; and two grandchildren.
