ROBERT C. CROAN RITES

Robert Cleveland Croan, 73, son of Thomas Jefferson and Sarah Hahn Croan, was born Aug. 23, 1884, near Mound City, Kansas, and died at his home in Blue Mound at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 26.

He was married to Beulah Demott, Oct. 8, 1905 at Mound City. To this union four children were born; Oscar and Wanda of Hood River, Ore.' Robert of Hayward, Calif., and Ralph of the home.

He spent his entire life farming near Mound City and Blue Mound until his health failed. In 1944 they moved to Blue Mound where he resided until his death. He joined the Methodist Church at Blue Mound many years ago.

Besides his wife and children, Mr. Croan is also survived by five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lou Hoover of Conrad, Mont., and Mrs. Opal Rowan of Colony; three brothers, Ernest of Fredonia, Howard of Mound City and George of Blue Mound.

Services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Blue Mound Federated Church with the Rev. Edward K. Suter officiating.
