Mildred Joyce "Midge" Morris, 72, of Sikeston, died Feb. 21, 2006 in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
She was born on Nov. 19, 1933 in Sikeston, Mo. to the late Oscar J. Morris and Victoria F. Casteel Morris.
Ms. Morris graduated in Caruthersville with the Class of 1951. She was employed in the Accounting Department at Southwestern Bell in Kansas City, Mo. She was also a member of the Tanner Street Church of God.
She leaves two brothers and one sister-in-law, Earl Wayne Morris, of Roswell, N. Mex. and David H. and Patricia L. Porter of Ellisville, Mo.; one sister and brother-in-law, Claudine M. and David Deem, of Manniford, Okla.; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Porter, Ashley Porter, Scott Porter, all of Ellisville, Mo., Steven Deem, of Broken Arrow, Okla., Melissa Lynn, of Aurora, Co. and Pam Fleming, of Stillwater, Okla.; one aunt, Gertrude "Granny" Lane, of Sikeston; cousins, Maxine McGee, Mary Lee Hailey and Barbara Bartlett, all of Sikeston, Berniece Bruce and Lena Smith both of Dennison, Tex.; also a host of second and third cousins.
Services were held Feb. 25, 2006 in the Tanner Street Church of God with Rev. Larry Smith officiating. Burial was held in the Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville.
