Mrs. Lila Lee Veland died unexpectedly Friday at her home at 1015 Springfield Drive, San Carlos. She was 48 years old.
She was recovering from hip surgery and was to return to work as executive secretary at Dalmo Victor Co. in San Carlos.
The family had moved to the Springfield Drive home only three weeks ago from Olive Street in San Carlos, where they had resided for 13 years. Mrs. Veland was a native of Portland, Ore.
She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Veland, a general machine operator for Lenkurt in San Carlos; a daughter, Mrs. Lynne Trammell of Vallejo; two sons, Kevin Zollinger of Concord and Kendall Zollinger of San Carlos; three sisters, Mrs. Verl Moe and Mrs. Vivian Robertson of San Carlos, and Mrs. Betty Burton of San Mateo; two brothers, Ivan Phillips of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Calvin Phillips of Denver, Colo., and three grandchildren.
Services will be tomorrow at 11 a.m. at White Oaks Chapel, 1696 El Camino Real, San Carlos. Bishop Frank Fenlon of the San Carlos ward of The Church of Jesus Christ will officiate. Inurnment will be private.
