Edward H. Ihms, 72, of 1020 Warren St., Davenport, who had managed the Ivanhoe Restaurant, Chicago, until he retired in 1960, died Tuesday evening in Mercy Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Ihms, born in Davenport, had resided in Chicago until six years ago.
He married Vera Jansen in 1919 in Davenport.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Carol) Reimers, and a son, Robert E., both of Elmhurst, Ill.; five grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Mamie Murphy, Davenport.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Runge Chapel, with burial in Davenport Memorial Park.
Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Thursday.
