Frank Willever
Death By Tetanus

The entire community was shocked last Friday when it was learned that Frank, the thirteen year old son of Mr.and Mrs.Jacob Willever, was in the ? of tetanus,or lockjaw. On Saturday morning previous the lad was engaged in building a pigeon house when he stepped on a nail which penetrated his heel.He said nothing of his injury until on Sunday morning when on rising he found he could not step on his foot with ease. The member was treated by his mother, and on Monday by Dr.Cummins the family physician, who was in attendance on the mother.

Frank hobbled about the rest of the week with little complaint of the foot but complained of chilliness Thursday evening however a decided change came, and the physician was sent for and he scarcely left the lad until death released him on Saturday morning. This is the fifth child that Mr.and Mrs.Willever have been called to part with, and the sad taking off of this one has called out the sympathy of the entire community.

The funeral was held at the home on Tuesday afternoon, when Frank's teachers, both present and previous ones. The coffin was fairly hidden in flowers, gifts of pupils and friends.
