ALEXANDRIA - Arvel L. Mounts, 88, 607 S. Wayne St., Alexandria, died Monday afternoon at Americana Health Care Center. He retired in 1968 from Johns-Manville Corporation after
having worked there for 35 years. He was a lifetime member of the Eagles Lodge. He was also a member of the Johns-Manville Quarter Century Club.
Surviving are his wife, Marie Mounts of Alexandria; a son, Rodney L. Mounts of Gaston; a stepson, Stanley S. Fisher of Anderson; two brothers, Arthur Mounts of Chesterfield and Lester Mounts of Auburn, Wash.; a sister, Minnie Medley of Sullivan; and one grandchild. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Noffze Funeral Home, 501 N. Harrison St., Alexandria. Burial will be at Park View Cemetery in Alexandria. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. An Eagles memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
