OBITUARY
Mrs. Julia White Davenport died at her home in Haigler Nebraska, July 10. She had been in very poor health for months of heart trouble and complications. Her condition became serious a week before she passed away.
Julia Ann Case, the daughter of George and Susan Case, was born in Floyd county, Iowa, on July 22, 1869 and departed this life on Friday, July 10, 1936, at the age of 65 years 11 months and 18 days.
She came to Kansas with her parents at the age of 11 years. They located on a farm near Havensville, where she grew to young womanhood. On August 20, 1885, she was united in marriage to Carson White and to this union nine children were born. One daughter, Bertha, died in infancy. The living are Ivan, Leo, Ray, Mae Immenschuh, Nellie M. Repp, Alvin, Herman and Lucy Spangler. In 1919 Mr and Mrs White moved from near Westmoreland to the present home north of Haigler where Mr. White preceded her in death on May 30, 1933.
On July 1, 1935, she was united in marriage to William Davenport of McCook, Nebraska, who with the surviving children, thirty grandchildren, one sister, Nellie Rawlings and one brother, Charley Case of Winfield, and a host of other relatives and friends are left to mourn her departure. All the children were at her bedside during her last illness.
Mrs. White was a devoted wife and mother, a kind and generous neighbor who many time spared not her self to help others in time of need. She joined the Methodist church when a small child and was a firm believer in her Lord.
