Mrs. Jessie Mae Gallaher, 89, of Braggadocio, died March 23, 1987 at River Oaks Nursing Home in Steele. Born December 17, 1897 in Braggadocio, she was the daughter of James D. and Allie Dills Long. She attended local schools and was a housewife and member of Braggadocio Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Raymond Gallaher of Crystal Lake, Ill., J.C. "Toby" Gallaher Jr. of Hayti and the Rev. Charles Robert Gallaher of Springfield, Tenn.; Two daughters, Mrs. Christine Michie of Blytheville and Mrs. Allie Mae Nelson of Alto Loma, Calif.; One sister, Mrs. Velma Walker of Caruthersville; Eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Corbin Gallaher, a sister, Dollie Denton, and four brothers, Tom, Drury, Clyde and Herb Long.
Services were March 26, 1987 at 3 p.m. at Braggadocio Baptist Church, the Rev. Bill Luttrell officiating, with burial in Little Prairie Cemetery, Dean Funeral Funeral Home of Caruthersville in charge.
Pallbearers were Joe Allen Michie, Danny, Rodney and Robert Nelson and Marty, Joe Lynn and Keith Gallaher.
