Mary Louise Bishop, 90, of West Des Moines, Iowa, formerly of Hayti, Mo., died Dec. 25, 2006, at Silvercrest at the Woodlands in West Des Moines.
Born Dec. 26, 1915, in St. Louis, Mo., daughter of the late Robert and Ella Hoag Tichacek, she was a member of the Hayti First United Methodist Church.
On July 26, 1937, she married Dr. Harrel Bishop, who preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1987. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Kenneth Tichacek.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Bishop, of Memphis, Tenn., Donald Bishop and wife, Peggy, of West Des Moines and Wayne Bishop and wife, Mary Ann, of St. Louis; one daughter, Sue Humphryes and husband, John, of Littleton, Colo.; one sister, Helen Duke and husband, George, of Willaimsburg, Mich.; six grandchildren, Scott Brandon, Jennifer, Nancy and Ella Anne Bishop and Jillian and Grant Humphryes and one great-grandchild, Evan Bishop.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, June 22, at the First United Methodist Church in Hayti with the Rev. Sue Cubbage officiating.
Burial will follow in the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville.
