posted September 23, 2009 - www.theintermountain.com∼Mrs. Rosie Mabel "Pose" Cutright Fox, 96, a resident of the Elkins Manor, and formerly of Cassity, passed away at 2:45 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, in the Hospice Care Regional Inpatient Unit in Elkins.
She was born April 27, 1913, at Blue Rock, Randolph County, a daughter of the late Harmon H. and Birdie Lloyd Cutright.
On March 31, 1934, at Oakland, Md., she was married to the late Harry Richard "Dick" Fox, who preceded her in death Nov. 26, 1985.
She is survived by one son, James Fox and wife, Evalena, of Huttonsville; one daughter, Sue Stanley and husband, William, of Mt. Airy, Md.; and son-in-law, Philip Harris and wife, Kathleen, of Perryopolis, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Tina Barnes, Timothy Stanley, Mark Fox, Joseph and Jeffrey Harris, and Vincent and Chauncey Fox; 14 great-grandchildren, Melissa, Jessica and Andrea Barnes, Benjamin Taylor, Nicholas and Hannah Rose Harris, Isabella and Sophia Harris, Garrett, Whitney and Megan Stanley, Scott Fox, Cash Fox and Isaiah Fox; two half sisters, Vera Hanifan of Barberton, Ohio, and Barbara Tawney of Wadsworth, Ohio; and one half brother, Edward Cutright of Belington. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She will also be remembered by special friends, Eula Currence and Katie Carver.
Also preceding her in death were one son, Merle Keith Fox; one daughter, Patricia Jo Fox Harris; two sisters, Florence Thomason Pingley and Gladys Elmore; one half sister, Dortha Thomason; three brothers, Ernest, Stanley and Basil Cutright; one half brother, Bayard Cutright; and stepmother, Ruth Snyder Cutright Newlon.
Mrs. Fox worked as a cook at the Cassity and Mill Creek elementary schools for several years and was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith.
