Walter Curtis, an employee of the L. & N. shops and a son of Rev. J. Curtis, of Curtis Wells, fell dead at the shops yesterday of heart disease. He had lived at Curtis Wells all his life and had many friends. He had no family. ~ Originally published in the New Decatur Advertiser (Decatur, Alabama) on Thursday, July 18, 1907 ~ Walter Curtis died suddenly Thursday, July 18th about noon. The remains were prepared and carried to the home of his parents at Curtis Wells. The funeral services were conducted from that place Friday afternoon. Interment was in the family burial ground nearby.
