Mrs. Lillian Dinnell Rushing, 72, of Columbus, Ga., died Sept. 19 at St. Francis Hospital there. Born Feb. 29, 1912 in Clay County, Ark., she was the daughter of Albert Perry Cook and Addie Walls Cook. She was a retired Brown Shoe Co. employee and a Baptist.
She is survived by one son, Billy Dinnell of Columbus, Ga.; One daughter, Mrs. Patsy Herndon of Wright City, Mo.; One stepson, Raymond Rushing of Caruthersville; Two stepdaughters, Mrs. Peggy Watkins and Mrs. Rosa Lee Jones. Ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services were Sept. 20 at 1 p.m. at Dean Funeral Home chapel, the Rev. Ira Singleton officiating, with burial in Little Prairie Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robert Bizzell, Bill Herndon, Wendell Herndon and John Lowery.
