Mr. Levon Reuben Hyde-age 89 a native of Evergeen, AL and longtime resident of Mobile County, AL died Friday, September 18, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Hyde served his country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He retired from the 908th Civil Service Division. Mr. Hyde, a member of Moffett Road Baptist Church, enjoyed camping, fishing and gardening during his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Mary Bolton Hyde of Evergreen and his wife Juanita, son Kenneth, grandson Tommy and brothers Clinton, Murray, Truman and Bill. He is survived by one sister Mary Campbell of Montgomery, one brother Joe of Evergreen; two daughters Carol Waters and Brenda Sue Carle; daughter-in-law Linda Bradley all of Mobile; three grandchildren: Rusty Waters, Beabe Spann and Peaches Bassett; 11 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other special family members and friends. Visitation will begin at 12 noon Monday, September 21, 2009 at Pine Crest Funeral Home. A graveside service and interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Pine Crest Cemetery.
