Clifton was a World War II Army and Air Force veteran. He was a retired Postal Service supervisor, and a member of Southside Assembly of God Church. He is preceded in death by one daughter, Balinda Evans West.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Brantley Evans of Hope, Arkansas; two sons, Terry Evans of Hope Arkansas, and Johnny Evans of Little Rock, Arkansas; two sisters, Gertrude McCorkle of Lanesburg, Arkansas, and Mildred Yates of Hope, Arkansas; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today in Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Spencer Plumley officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home.
The 1930 United States Federal Census listed the following siblings: Carl, Ruby, Gertrude, Leroy, Hellen, Leon, and Mildred Evans.
