Rev. George Merrill Farr, of West Linn, retired Free Methodist Church minister, died in a local hospital Saturday following a three week's illness.

He was born November 21, 1865 in Wisconsin and came to West Linn one year ago from Clear Lake, Washington. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Clear Lake.

He is survived by his widow, Josephine; three sons, Cyrus of Missouri; Clarence of Nebraska and Leroy of Seattle; three daughters, Mrs. Eva Spencer, of Oregon City, Rt. 3; Mrs. Monna Kunz, West Linn and Mrs. Ina Statler of Illinois; one sister, Mrs. Ida Townsend of Nebraska; 33 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Holman-Hankins and Rilance Mortuary, with Rev. Walter Nead, pastor of the Elwood Free Methodist Church, officiating. Internment will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
