Mrs. Annis L. Farr, for many years a resident of this city, died at her home on Saturday night after an illness extending several months.
Mrs. Farr was born in Polk Co., Iowa on December 8, 1850, and crossed the plains with her parents in 1853, settling in Sublimity, Ore., and later coming to Clackamas County, where she resided for 46 years. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phileman Morris, pioneers of Oregon.
She was married on August 9, 1868 to Isaac Farr who died some 15 years ago. She was the mother of nine children and is survived by seven sons and daughters; Clarence P. Farr, Isaac Newton Farr of Molalla, Elmer Thomas Farr, Arthur Louis Farr, Edward F. Farr, and Mrs. Agnes Stuart, wife of Dr. C.A. Stuart, all of Oregon City, and Mrs. Viola M. Morris of Portland. She also leaves grandchildren as well as a number of great-grandchildren, and two sisters and a brother. Her sisters are Mrs. N. A. Powers of Canemah, Mrs. J. W. LaBare of Salem, and a brother, Edwin Morris of Seattle, Wash.
Pallbearers were grandsons of Mrs. Farr. These were Wallace Farr, Lee Farr, Gale Ashbaugh, Lee Faust, Cecil Stuart of this city and Arthur Farr of Mulino.
The funeral was held this (Monday) afternoon, from the Holman & Pace Chapel.
