Chaz Carlton Goodlett, 14, of Mount Eden, passed away September 18, 2009, at Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville. Chaz was born May 31, 1995 in Louisville. Chaz was a freshman at Spencer County High School, was a member of Future Farmers of America and the Livestock Club, enjoyed playing baseball, and was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Taylorsville. Chaz was preceded in death by his father, Dale Carlton Goodlett; and paternal grandparents, Verdman and Emma Goodlett.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Charlene and Bryan Shelburne of Mount Eden; his brother, Trenton Goodlett of Mount Eden; and his grandparents, Roger and Rose Waldridge of Taylorsville. Funeral services were held September 22, 2009, at First Assembly of God Church, Taylorsville with Reverend Chad Goodlett officiating. Burial was at Valley Cemetery, Taylorsville. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Kosair Charities. Arrangements handled by Hall-Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
