Jerry was born 02/08/1926 in Stamford, TX, the son of the late Jim V. & Mary Matecha Neuman. He attended the Tuxedo school until it's closing, and graduated from Stamford High School.
He married Joyce Leveta Allison on 11/29/1957 in Rule, TX. They celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 2008. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during W.W. II. He was a lifetime resident of Jones Co. and farmed in the Tuxedo Comm. until retiring in Dec. 2005. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stamford.
Preceding Mr. Neuman in death were his parents and one brother, Jim V. Neuman, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joyce, of Stamford; Children - Malinda Thornton and husband Greg of Stamford, Gary Neuman and wife Lisa of Plano, and Tony Neuman and wife Sherry of Lewisville; six grandchildren, one great-grandson; 3 sisters, Mary Tomanek of Seymour, Rose Jones of Ft. Worth, Lilly and Roger Rasco of Enid, OK; and many sisters in law, nieces, & nephews.

Stamford - Jerry A. Neuman, 83, of Stamford, passed away Monday, September 7, 2009. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, September 14, 2009, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jacob West officiating.
Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Kinney-Underwood Funeral Home in Stamford.
Jerry Albert Neuman was born February 8, 1926, in Stamford, Texas, the son of the late Jim V and Mary Matecha Neuman. Jerry attended the Tuxedo school until it's closing, and graduated from Stamford High School.
He married Joyce Leveta Allison on November 29, 1957, in Rule, Texas. Jerry and Joyce celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 2008.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II. Jerry was a lifetime resident of Jones County and farmed in the Tuxedo Community until retiring in December, 2005. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stamford.
