Lillian Rogers Marshall, 87, of 1150 Westover Drive, Collinsville, died Monday, Sept. 14, 2009 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville/Henry County. She was born on Jan. 4, 1922 in Max Meadows, to the late Elbert Rogers and Mandy Shinault Rogers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Marshall; three step-sons, Jesse Marshall, Everett Marshall and Will Marshall; sister, Frances McGee and four brothers, Harry Rogers, Troy Rogers, Bill Rogers and Elbert Rogers. Mrs. Marshall attended the Collinsville Church of the Brethren and was a member of Barren Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church, Barren Springs. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Linda D. Henley and Forest D. Henley, Sr. of Collinsville; three step-daughters, Geneva Turpin of Willis, Oleta Henley of Pulaski, and Isabelle Jalis of Dumfries; step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Guy Marshall and Marie Marshall of Max Meadows; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Katherine Rakes and John Rakes of Wytheville; grandson and his wife, Forest D. "Donny" Henley, II and Debbi Henley of Elon, NC; great-granddaughter, Kayla Elizabeth Henley; great-grandson, Forest D. "Trey" Henley, III; step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren; special friend, Ralph Davis of Clarksville, TN and numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009 at Collinsville Church of the Brethren with Pastor Roy McVey and Pastor Roy Turpin officiating.
