Frank Whitmore Smale, 67, died suddenly in Washington on Friday where he had made his home for a great many years. A native of Leesburg, Mr. Smale was the son of John and Harriett Ann Smale, and for some time was established in business here.
Surviving are two sons, Whitmore Smale, Washington and Frank Smale, Purcellville; two daughters, Mrs. Julian Muller, Washington; Mrs. Raymond Hindman, Purcellville and four grandchildren.
Services were held from Slack's funeral home, Sunday afternoon, the Rev. J.H. Bean officiating. Interment was made in Union Cemetery.
Pallbearers included H.C. Littlejohn Howard E. Cole, E.O. Russell, L.C. Rollins, John Hourihane and J.H. Turley.
