OBITUARY, 20 Aug 1996.
Mrs. Alberta C. Duesler, 87, of Mud Road, Ephratah, died Sunday at home after a long illness. Mrs. Duesler was born and educated in Ephratah. She was a glovemaker for the former Alexette Glove Co. in Gloversville until her retirement. Mrs. Duesler was a member of the former Ephratah Methodist Church. She was a lifetime member of the Ephratah Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Western Fulton County Senior Citizens. She married Vernon Duesler Sr. On Oct. 12, 1929. He died in 1979.
Mrs. Duesler is survived by two sons, Vernon Duesler Jr. of Ephratah and John Duesler of Oppenheim; two daughters, Loretta Christman and Mary Ann Ahrens, both of Ephratah; 21 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren.
A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, 215 E. Main St., Johnstown. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ephratah Cemetery. [Provided by Jane Duesler Iafelice 8/18/15].
