Burial will be in the Leagueville Cemetery under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home in Athens.
Mr. Adair died Tuesday in a Tyler hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born December 14, 1921 in Leagueville and resided there most of his life. He was employed by Curtis-Mathes Manufacturing Co. for 20 years, retiring in 1982. He was a veteran of service with the U.S. Army during World War II with a Purple Heart, and was a member of Leagueville Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife Hazel Adair, in 1985.
He is survived by a son, Richard H. Adair of Mart; two daughters, Linda Coffey of Arlington and Cindy Parker of Trinidad; two brothers, Howard Adair and Derl Adair, both of Leagueville; three sisters, Blanche Williams of Leagueville, Janice Monk of Tool, Sally Simmons of Chapel Hill; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Charles Morman, Arlan Morman, Walter Morman, Steve Adair, Gordon Adair and M.J. Dickerson.
Milton Adair is an honorary pallbearer.
