Husband of Sally Miles. Son of Benjamin Jones and Mehitable Teril.

On his tombstone the inscription reads:
When Britain first her hostile banners raised
And on our shores the foeman's war torch blazed,
Then he, though young, espoused Columbia's cause,
Fought for her freedom, liberty and laws.
