Phyllis Brown Patton, 75, died at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009 at Logan Acres Care Center.
She was born July 11, 1934 in Hepburn to Clarence and Violet (Parks) Brown. On July 1, 1952, in Gary, Ind., she married Delmar Patton and he preceded her in death on April 28, 2006.
Surviving are two sons, Randy (Sharon) Patton of Novi, Mich., and Donald (Sheri) Patton of Lakeview; three daughters, Pamela Richardson of Kenton, Karen (Larry) Prater of Bellefontaine and Denise (Scott) Kaser of Kenton; five grandchildren, Jonathan Patton of Michigan, Shaylyn Richardson of Kenton, Trisha Burris of Bellefontaine, Anthony Maxwell of Kenton and Michelle Laubis of Hepburn; seven great-grandchildren, Taysha, Tevin, Damian, Jalon, Alleigh, Takara and Baille; and six sisters, Ruth (Morgan) Imbody of Marion, Barbara Page of Michigan, Linda (Larry) Hayter of Kenton, Sharon (Mick) Acheson of Indian Lake, Patricia (Jack) McClaren of Kenton and Nancy (Garold) Lease of Kenton.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Damian Richardson; a great-grandson, Daylen Williams; two sisters, Mary Lou Thomas and Betty Davis; and three brothers, Hallie, Roland and Clarence Brown.
She worked at North Electric and Essex Wire, both in Kenton.
She was a member of the Kenton Eagles Lodge, Women of the Moose in Kenton and Amvets Post 1994.
She was a very loving mother, awesome grandmother and enjoyed bingo and gambling. She also loved the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Price Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery, Kenton.
