Leola was the daughter of David and Mary Ann Rookstool Grubb, born in the Solomon's Creek community of Elkhart county. She married John R. "Dolphus" Stabler on June 23, 1917.
Mrs. Stabler lived in and near Syracuse most of her life and was a member of the Calvary Evangelical United Brethren church. She died Sunday evening in her home in Syracuse of complications resulting from a four-year illness. She was 68 years of age.
Mrs. Stabler leaves behind her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Edith Miller, Mrs. William Hess, and Mrs. Theldon Kine; a brother, Byron Grubb; a sister, Mrs. Wilma Hamman; a half-brother, Elmer Grubb of Los Angeles, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
