A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Catholic Church, Odell, with Father David Sabel officiating.
Burial will be at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery, Odell.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Odell.
She was born Feb. 14, 1915, in El Paso, the daughter of Jesse and Gertrude (Wernsman) Everett. She married Francis Ahrens, July 25, 1938. He preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 1996.
Surviving are two sons, James (Kathleen) Ahrens of Cascade, Mont., and Stephen (Linda) Ahrens, Odell; three daughters, Patricia (Bernie) Langheim of Salem, Va., Mary Anne (Larry) Gleason of Pontiac and Judith (Lee) Weber of Pontiac; 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Odell, and had been a homemaker.
She was a member of Catholic Daughters of Odell, Odell Historical Society, Catholic Circle, and a member of the Fun Timers group in Pontiac.
She was a graduate of St. Mary's School, Pontiac, and of Pontiac Township High School.
Helen loved to knit lap robes and booties for other ASTA Care residents, and she was a lifelong Cubs fan.
