Moved to Ky in early manhood. He was a physician of some note and secured his medical education in the Indiana Medical College and the Medical College at Lexington, KY. He practiced in Knox and Casey counties, Ky and Cookeville, TN. He began the practice of his profession in Daviess Co, IN and later returned there. Member of the Christian Church and a member of the Masons and Odd Fellows. Was a staunch Republican.
