Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Victor D. Gohmann, age 97, of St. Cloud will be at 10:30 am on Friday, October 31, 2008 at St. Mary's Cathedral Lower Church in St. Cloud. Victor died on Monday, Oct 27, 2008 at the Country Manor Health Care Center in Sartell surrounded by his loving family. Entombment will be in the Assumption Mausoleum.

Family and friends may call between 4-8 pm on Thursday and after 9 am on Friday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. St. Mary's parish prayers will be at 6 pm on Thursday at the funeral home in St. Cloud followed by Knights of Columbus Council 961 at 7 pm.

Victor was born on July 13, 1911 in Clearwater, MN to Bernard and Margaret (Liesch) Gohmann. He married Bernice Kraus on October 15, 1940 in Luxemburg, MN. He has been a resident of St. Cloud since 1944. He was employed at Frigidaire for 25 years retiring in 1975. He was a member of RSVP, Knights of Columbus Council 961, the Machinists and Mechanics Union Local 623, St. Margaret's/St. Joseph's Society and St. Mary's Cathedral parish. He was employed part time by the T and L Credit Union where he also served on the board of directors for 31 years. He was a volunteer firefighter for St. Cloud Township for 20 years.

Victor will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a skilled carpenter and loved to garden.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Bernice, children: Ronald (Pat) of St. Louis Park, LeRoy (Ginny) of Woodbury, Karen (Al) Weber of Luxemburg, Patricia (Tom) Kaeter of St. Cloud and Mary (Gary) Justin of St. Cloud; 16 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters: George of Kimball, Bernard of Clearwater, Margaret Fandel of St. Cloud, Evelyn Kraus of Waite Park, Alice Anderson of Sauk Rapids and Marcella Virden of St. Cloud.

He was preceded in death by a grandson Troy Weber, brothers: Sylvester, John, Walter and Norbert, sisters: Florentine Storms, Helen Kunkel, Irene Anderson and Alvina Kirchner.
