Known as "Katie," she performed for many years on the vaudeville circuit and around the country with her husband, Ed Blondell, accompanied by their young children, Joan, Ed Jr. and Gloria. When Katie took ill, 8-year-old Joan replaced her in the act. Eventually, all three children joined the act.
