Graveside services for Mary Ellen BARBER, 83, of Bay, Ark., formerly of Muldrow, were held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Cottonwood Cemetery south of Muldrow, with Revs. Steve Harrelson and William R. Passmore officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born April 24, 1920, in Mulberry, Ark., to James H. HARMON and Ethel Elizabeth (McADOO) HARMON. She died Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, in Jonesboro, Ark. She married Clyde BARBER on May 1, 1937, in Fort Smith, Ark. He preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 1999. Survivors include two daughters, and sons-in-law, Blanche Faye and Jerry, and Betty Sue and William; five sons and one daughter-in-law, Jerry O. and Linda, Johnny L.,James W., Billy R. and Danny J.; 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one sister, Geneva; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Clyde Houston BARBER and Gary Dale BARBER.
