Death near Independence

At the home of his parents near Independence, Okla., on February 17, 1913, William Glen Allen passed from this life to the beyond. He was born March 21, 1890, near Pleasant Hill, Mo., and came to Oklahoma about twelve years ago with his father's family. About eighteen months ago, he made a profession of faith in Christ, and has manifested a faithful christian patience in his last months of intense pain and suffering. He leaves to mourn his departure his father and mother, Thomas A. and Mrs. Sarah A. Allen, five brothers and two sisters, besides friends who are numbered by his acquaintances. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. L.W. Cunningham, at the home of his father, and his body laid to rest in the Independence cemetery.
