Burrell "Buster" Curtis Stevenson, 83, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2009, at Hendrick Medical Center. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Abilene Funeral Home Chapel of Hope, 3349 N. 12th Street, with Reverend Bob Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, directed by Abilene Funeral Home.
Mr. Stevenson was born on April 2, 1926, in Groesbeck, Texas to Henry Richard and Minnie Mae Stevenson. He was a member of the Trinity Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include his wife, Victoria ?Vicky? Stevenson of Abilene; three daughters, Sandra Knauf and husband, Bill of Ohio, Nita Ann Collins and husband, Colonel Bart Collins of Killeen and Gwendolyn Stevenson of Abilene; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Walton of Florida; four grandchildren, Jennifer Knauf, Christopher Knauf , Ashley Agee and husband, Matt and Jessica Cory and husband, Clayton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Stevenson was preceded in death by three brothers, Alton Stevenson, Aubra Stevenson and H.P. Stevenson; and a sister, Eva Davis.
