Samuel Dickerson HAILEY married(1) Mary Jane HILLARD on Feb 15, 1853 in Fayette Co., TN. They had 7 children. Samuel D. Hailey served in the Civil War and held the rank of Third Lieutenant. In 1866 S. D. Hailey is shown as having 75 acres improved land and 100 acres woodland in the Maple Springs Community. Mary died in 1878. Samuel married(2) Mattie Mae DOUGHTY on Nov 19, 1879 in Hardeman Co., TN. They had 3 children. Samuel died at the age of 61
