Wife's obituary:

Dorothy Lee Pritchard was born in Henry County, Missouri, on Jan. 4, 1927, to William and Blanche Caldwell. She passed of natural causes on Nov. 19, 2019. In her youth, Dorothy was a clothing model for Carither's Department Store in Petaluma, California, and had a successful career as an office manager for a doctor's group in Healdsburg, California. She spent many years living in California and enjoyed traveling with her husband, Warren, in their trusty motorhome after retirement, meeting up with friends all over the country and in Mexico for fishing trips and patio parties.

She was "an amazing seamstress," sewing intricate squaw (fiesta) dresses for the Tesuque Trading Company in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and making beautiful clothing for herself and her children as they grew up. She loved animals, showing ponies with her family and raising dogs at home. She and Warren moved to Twisp in 1995, where they bought a house on the Twisp River and enjoyed fending off the marmots from the vegetable garden. She was widowed in 1996 when Warren passed, and spent the rest of her life in the Methow with her daughter Terri DeWeert, insisting on paying her grandsons for chores they would happily have done for free.

Dorothy had a vivacious spirit and an infectious sense of humor. She never wanted to miss out on the fun and would stubbornly stick it out to the very end whenever family was getting together or any good time was being had.

She was an active member of the Priscilla's club and was always grateful for the camaraderie and friendship she found there. She spent the last two years of her life at Jamie's Place in Winthrop, being well cared for by the lovely staff there. The family is very grateful for their care.

Dorothy is survived by her four children, Janice (Dale) Johnson, Albany, Oregon; Joyce (Bill) Beard, Ukiah, California; Warren Thomas (Julie) Pritchard, Shingle Springs, California; Dr. Terri (Dan) DeWeert, Twisp; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and her dog Amber. We all love her dearly and will miss her very much. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 7 at Beaver Creek Cemetery. Open house reception to follow at Terri DeWeert's home at 957A Twisp-Carlton Road. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to please make donations to Jamie's Place or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, alzfdn.org/support-us/donate, if you remember to do so.
