MARY ADA CLURE
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ada Clure, 97, were held Wednesday, August 27, in Fox Funeral Chapel, Davis. She died August 24 in Rosewood Nursing Home, Stillwater. Rev. Wesley Mitchell officiated, and interment was in Green Hill Cemetery. Fox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Born September 25, 1888, in Iron City, TN, Mrs. Clure lived most of her life in the Joy community. She was a member of Joy Baptist Church. She married William J. Clure in June of 1911. He preceded her in death in 1936.
Survivors include four daughters and two sons, Mrs. Olive Elmore, Mrs. Olivia Whisenhunt, and Calvin Clure, all of Cumberland Cove, OK, Mrs. Ada England of Claremore, Mrs. Anna Bell Williams of Stillwater and Norvell Clure, Holdenville; one sister, Mrs. Nona Thompson of Joy; 17 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
