POTTER - James R. Potter died at the Solders Home hospital as a Corporal in Company D of the Sixteenth Missouri Volunteer Cavalry. Mr. Potter is survived by three sons, a daughter and by several brothers and sisters, some of whom live in California and others in Oklahoma. The body is at Summers and Krebe parlors. Funeral arrangements will not be announced until relatives have been heard from. (Evening Capital News, Thursday, August 21, 1924)

POTTER - Funeral services for James R. Potter, who died Thursday at the Solders' Home hospital will be held at the Summers and Krebs chapel Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Dr. W. W. VanDusen will officiate at the chapel and the Grand Army will have charge at the grave in Silent Camp of Morris Hill cemetery. All members of the G.A.R. and the W.R.C. are specially requested to attend. The funeral will be by automobile. Mr. Potter is survived by six children, James M. of Eagle, Reuben E. of Mountain Home, William A. of California, Walter F. of Boise, Albert of Portland, and Mrs. Jessie F. Justus of Nampa.
