Funeral of S. M. Hearon
Son of Pioneer Residents Is Buried Here On Saturday
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock for Sam M. Hearon, 63 years old, who died Friday morning about 9:30 o'clock at the Sanitarium of Paris. The service was held at his residence on South Thirtieth street, conducted by Dr. F. L. Wear, pastor of Central Presbyterian church, and burial was at Evergreen cemetery. Pallbearers were Tom Watson, Harry Baker, J. E. Osburn, Frank Fuller, John G. Wright and Claude Ferguson.
Mr. Hearon is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mattie Henley Hearon, and two nieces, Mrs. May Hearon Rutledge of Paris and Mrs. Minnie Laura Bruner of Houston.
Born July 20, 1870, on the Hearon farm, south of Paris, Mr. Hearon had spent all his life in Paris and Lamar county except for a few years when he lived at Lannius. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Uriah Hearon, pioneer residents of this county.
