MIDDLEBURY — Eleanor (Verrastro) Anelli, 84, of Blueberry Knoll, Middlebury, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at Saint Mary's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Vincent Anelli.
Mrs. Anelli was born May 24, 1925, in Waterbury, daughter of the late George and Julia (Fiore) Verrastro.
Eleanor is survived by three sons, Vincent Anelli Jr. and his wife, Carol, of Middlebury, Robert Anelli of Morris, and Michael Anelli and his wife, Wendy, of Elizaville, N.Y.; six grandchildren, Vincent Anelli III and his wife, Melissa Ponzillo Anelli, Todd Anelli and his wife, Jenifer Boylan Anelli, both of Middlebury, Kristen Anelli Maccione, Joseph Anelli, Elizabeth Anelli and Alex Anelli; six great-grandchildren, John, Julia, James and Brandon Anelli, and Nicholas and Ava Maccione; a longtime companion, Arthur Wood; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday from the Colasanto Funeral Home, 932 Bank St., Waterbury, to St. John of the Cross Church, Middlebury, for a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
