LINDA PEARL (HARE) GULLIKSON Funeral services were 1 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2008 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Marty. Burial was in the church cemetery. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Linda Pearl (Hare) Gullikson was born on January 16, 1954 to Henry and Bertha (Brown Bear) Hare. Linda died Sunday, September 28, 2008 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Linda attended school in Marty and Wagner. Linda lived in Wagner, Marty, Chicago and South Carolina. On May 2, 1970, Linda married Elmo Gullikson, Jr. at the Presbyterian Church in Greenwood, South Dakota by Enoch LaPointe. To this union, two daughters were born: Kellie Anne Gullikson and Elizabeth Mae Gullikson. Linda worked at the pork plant and the bowling alley at this time. Linda was a very loving and caring person. She met and fell in love with Lavern Selwyn, Jr. on Labor Day of 1996. Linda enjoyed sitting at home and listening to the "oldies", watching movies, playing darts and playing ten thousand with Lavern and whomever stopped by. Linda also enjoyed going to fastpitch softball games, visiting with her mother, father, brothers and sisters. She loved to ride around with Lavern, Clete and Ann. Linda was also on a bowling team called the "the winyans" and a mixed team. She enjoyed going to the casino and taking everybody shopping when she could. Linda will be remembered for her famous fried chicken and potato salad on Sundays and birthdays and the love she had for her mother, father, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her brothers and sisters, her neices and nephews, her cousins, aunts and uncles and the love of her life, Lavern Selwyn, Jr. Linda is survived by her mother, Bertha (Brown Bear) Hare, her daughters: Kellie Anne Gullikson, Elizabeth Mae Gullikson; 15 grandchildren: Ashley Gullikson, Randi Lynn Gullikson, Kyle Gullikson, Ryan Little, Robert Cooke, Nicole Cooke, Emily Gullikson, Tyler Gullikson, Raven Gullikson, Cade Gullikson, Sage Zephier, James Gullikson, Sakura Rouse, Imara Rouse, Jerome Rouse II, ; four great-granchildren: Catani Gullikson, Victoria Gullikson, one on the way, Kaylin Joy Cournoyer and Owen Gullikson; her brothers: Henry Hare, Jr., Butch Hare and Cletus Hare: her sisters: Glorian Baker, Audrey Cooke and Bonnie Stricker; and her companion of 12 wonderful years, Lavern Selwyn, Jr.. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Henry Hare, Sr.; husband, Elmo Gullikson, Jr.; brothers: Myron Hare, Gaylord Hare and adopted brother, Pete Tzuni; nephews: Doug Cooke, Myron Hare; and grandson, Cody Gullikson.
